Community Strength Through Mutual Commitment
Built on a foundation of traditional community values, Sawgrass Mutual is a policyholder-owned insurance company - neighbors helping neighbors.
Benjamin Franklin, a founding father of America's second oldest insurance company, the Philadelphia Contributionship, which was established in 1752, described the basic incorporating principle of a mutual as an organization "whereby every man might help another without any disservice to himself."
Sawgrass Mutual exists solely to serve the insurance needs of our policyholders, not to provide investment profits to shareholders.
Through our commitment to excellence in performance, service and professionalism, Sawgrass Mutual is focused on the welfare of our community of policyholders and the communities in which they reside.
